State Representative Fred Atchley (R-Sevierville) is celebrating the announcement that five Sevier County schools have earned Reward School status from the Tennessee Department of Education for their outstanding performance during the 2024-2025 academic year.

The following schools received the prestigious designation:

  • Boyds Creek Elementary School

  • Caton's Chapel Elementary School

  • Pittman Center Elementary School

  • Seymour Primary School

  • Wearwood Elementary School

"I am incredibly proud of these five schools and the dedicated teachers, administrators, students, and families who made this achievement possible," said Rep. Atchley. "This recognition reflects the hard work happening every day in our classrooms across Sevier County. Our educators are preparing the next generation for success, and these results prove it."

The Reward School distinction is among Tennessee's highest honors for academic excellence. Schools earn the designation by demonstrating high levels of performance and improvement across multiple indicators, including student achievement, academic growth, attendance, graduation rates, and support for English learners.

"Education is the foundation of strong communities," Rep. Atchley added. "I will continue working in Nashville to ensure our schools have the resources and support they need to help every student succeed."
